In a world where everything is following trends and goes in mass production there is no time to respect legacy. Being the sixth generation at the art of creating jewels our most valuable asset is the knowledge that we inherit. Precious metals and gems are forever, they should not be used to follow trends, and they should be making history along with their possessors. Stories that one day will be 'used' and told by your descendants.

Our Designer
It was on the 5th generation that the future of this heritage began to be driven by women. Maria do Carmo, eldest daughter of Manuel Maria, inherits her father's artistic vision. Knowledge that she starts passing to her daughter Joana Maria since she was just a child.
Wren Jewels is born at the hands of Joana in 2015. She uses with great pride and respect this centenary heritage, knowledge she gained while working with her grandfather and mother.
"Minas Novas"
The end of the XVIII century, the discovery of gold in Brazil led to increased demand and exploration of the territory. In addition to gold, new stones were discovered. These findings caused a great revolution in goldsmith workshops in Portugal.
The introduction of colorless stones started to be used in place of diamonds. These stones were mostly coming from the area of Minas Gerais, originating the name "Minas Novas" for which this kind of jewels are today commonly referred.
The legacy of Wren Jewels refers precisely to this date. The re-creations in gold, silver and crystal rock have the ability to be modern nowadays and to take us to a classical era. 200 years that have been written by six generations of our designer Joana Maria's family.
"Folhinhas"
"Folhinhas" (little leaves) is a collection made in gold. Jewells decorated with manually carved leaves mixed with semi precious stones. Tourmalines have been chosen for their natural diversity of tones. It was a concept created by our Joana's grandfather. These jewells are ideal for modern women living in all their contemporaneity. It is an harmonious collection where the gradient of colors from green to rose give a special touch to each piece. The respect for tradition and elegance are intrinsic aspects of our creations.
